Grazia Santarpia is a multifaceted artist who combines sensitivity and rigor in her work.. With training that includes a diploma in Art Institute and bachelor's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts, I have delved deeper into the culture of color at the IACC Italia. At the moment, I am enriching my experience as an interior designer in the Barcelona University Center BAU, where I explore new frontiers in aesthetics and functionality.

In my studio in Barcelona, I work on two different but complementary fronts. On the one hand, I dedicate myself to chromatic projection, creating atmospheres that promote psychophysical well-being, relying on the most recent discoveries in the field of neurosciences.

I use my artistic sensitivity to design “friendly” spaces that accompany and contribute to the correct functioning of environments.

For example, It has been proven that colors like red can negatively influence rest: a room painted red can make it difficult to sleep, since this color is associated with stimulation and anxiety (fuente: Verywell Mind). On the contrary, softer and more relaxing tones, like blue or green, promote calm and relaxation, creating more comfortable spaces for rest and reflection.
 
Besides, es essential to consider how the human eye reacts to colors. The gradual transition from one color to another is essential to avoid eye strain; Sudden changes can cause visual stress and disorientation (fuente: Color Psychology). Understanding these aspects allows design spaces that are not only aesthetically nice, but also functional y healthy.

In parallel, I also take care of graphic projection and illustration, where my creativity is expressed in projects that range from childhood to interior spaces, creating a lcoherent and harmonious visual language. This way, artistic and graphic disciplines, although separated, converge on my sensitivity, allowing offer unique and personalized solutions.
